Having a passion for style, fashion and textiles Helen’s first full time position was as a Textile Separation / Reproduction Artist in the printing industry, which gave her an understanding of the commercial screen printing process within the textiles industry, this position was to be followed by a sales and retail merchandising role with Marks & Spencer.

A few years later her career was to diverge into Advertising and Finance before turning full circle returning to Design when she completed a Diploma in Interior Design at The University of Huddersfield in 2004. Whilst studying Helen also held the position of Production/Set Designer with The Norther Film School (Leeds University), where the art of Visual display was honed.

In 2008 Shaw Mad About Design was established as an Interior Exterior Design Consultancy business located in Frankston, dealing extensively within the South East of Melbourne, however a few projects have taken place on the NSW South Coast and Northern Victoria.

With a flair for colour and design architecturally, decoratively and in furnishings, an interest in innovative and ecologically sound products and solutions, Helen works with the Client to create exciting, attractive and functional environments for living, working and relaxation.

Pride is taken in identifying the Clients style and requirements to achieve their vision, be it contemporary, classical, eclectic, or minimalistic.
