The colour introduced into the Paris/London fashion scene this spring, 2014 is Pantones Radiant Orchid. With both cool and warm tones Radiant Orchid is so versatile. We are seeing it teamed with subtle pastels and neutral for a soft elegant understated look and as a complete contrast the bolder have infused with fuchsia, reds, oranges, emerald green and teal.
Radiant Orchid has received Royal, First Lady and Red Carpet approval – showing once again this is a colour for all occasions.
As we have come to expect the catwalk colours are overflowing into the home décor industry. This tone of purple with its undertones of pink is so easy to live with. Pantones Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman describes it as “Magical”.
Nature paints the sky with Radiant Orchid as it entices us into a new day with enthusiasm and clams us into the tranquility of a peaceful night.
It’s a colour that has for some time been associated with joy, love and health making it a natural choice for celebratory events. Excellent reasons to embrace it and introduce it into your wardrobe and home this year.
